Want to join us for the next retreat at Loon Lake?  Mark your calendar for September 22 – 25, 2018 and register for the early bird rate now.  See SHOP page.

For September, 2018, we will expand the program to TWO yoga classes per day, always the gentle Hatha yoga with fun Kundalini stretches and a few Pilates-type exercises for the core.

There is also an interesting and informative workshop every day on the theme Transformation – Body, Mind and Soul.  You will have the opportunity to transform your body with the yoga, learning what each pose does for you.  You will transform your mind by healing the past and learning new ways of moving forward.  And you will be transformed spiritually through meditation, nature walks, and harnessing life energies to live more productively and joyfully.

Loon Lake is a new and stunning venue for us, only one hour from Vancouver centre or Vancouver/Abbotsford airports (no ferries).  I find this possibly the most beautiful spot I’ve seen anywhere in Canada!  The lake is pristine (and swimmable in September), the forest is natural and quiet with two hiking trails, one for 45 minutes, the other for 3 hours.  We have canoes available at our own dock too.  The schedule allows more than three consecutive hours for activities after lunch every day and lots of free time in the evening.  To see more of the venue, click here:  http://www.loonlake.ubc.ca.

Note that our group will have full possession of the upscale Koerner Lodge, including the lounge with fireplace, the outdoor patios and fire pit, and our own dock onto the lake.

RATES – Rates include three nights’ accommodation, three delicious meals plus a morning snack every day, yoga, workshops, meditations, hiking and canoeing.  There are no additional fees.

Early bird rates are $980 each for a shared room, $880 each for sharing three or four people (room with four beds, no bunks).  Deposit is $300, another $300 is due by March 31st and the final payment by July 15th, 2018.  Act now to ensure your spot in this wonderful adventure.

Mexico Retreat, December 3rd – 8th, 2017

Theme:  Awakening to Your Full Potential

The Mexico retreats offer a 90-minute, healing yoga class at 7:30 AM, preceded by an optional sunrise meditation and tea/coffee break.  A fresh, natural breakfast follows the yoga class, and then we move into our 2-hour workshop.  A full hot lunch, with a salad bar concludes the daily retreat events, freeing everyone to do other activities after 1:30.

The workshops will be a wonderful learning experience.  What is our full potential? How powerful are we, or can we be? Do we have access to greater power, greater wisdom? Does “awakening” mean that this power already exists in us and we need only uncover it? Discussions in this program will range widely, exploring the writing of Eckart Tolle and others. You will find that you have the ability to assist in the healing not only of your body but also of the world around you.

The rate is $600 for the week.  Right now, a deposit of $300 confirms your spot. This includes the sunrise meditation, all yoga, workshops, morning tea/coffee break, a full breakfast and a hot lunch – all fresh and delicious. (Accommodation is not included but I can recommend local places.)  Based on past attendance, these retreats will probably book up early.

Mexico Retreat, March 4th – 9th, 2018

Theme:  How to Live to Be 100

This retreat has the same venue as the December retreat but workshops will be based on the theme How to Live to Be 100. We will look at changes we can make physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually to live a healthier happier life.

Time for me.  In my busy world, this is a time just for me, that I relish. It is wonderful to meet like minded people who share a passion for learning new things and yoga. It is also a wonderful time to reconnect with past attendees.  Shawn, attended four years in row.

Time for Reflection.  It was a time to reflect on my life while being guided how I can improve it each day.  Patty W, attended two years in a row.

Living in a Divine State.  (The retreat was about) revisiting ego and its force brought me back to working on recognizing it on a moment to moment basis and attempting to move past it to respond and live in a more “divine mind” state.  Robin, attended two years in a row.

Awesome Week.  This week reinforced a lot of principals I try to live by…was reminded of the importance of being grateful and living with an attitude to shift your life.  C. Pierson, attended three times.  Brooks, Alberta.

Small Steps.  I learned that I carry a lot of worry, and now choose to release worry in my life and live a peaceful, joyful existence.  M. McNamara, attended twice.  Kamloops, B.C.

Wonderful 1st Time Experience Located in the residential area at Agneta’s new home and outdoor yoga studio, the “Guayabitos Yoga Retreat–How to Live to Be a Hundred”, proved to be an invigorating, week-long experience. Surrounded by ocean views, beautiful gardens, hummingbirds and iguanas, this setting provides a perfect backdrop for the retreat. Days beginning with sunrise meditation and yoga geared to individual participants set the tone for the remainder of the day. Discussion sessions relating to “How to Live to Be a Hundred” and the role that mind body and spirit play in being healthy and whole at any age, were thought provoking and provided me with an awareness of how I can improve my well being.  This retreat is tailored to the needs of both men and women. Overall, the retreat provided excellent value and would provide both new and experienced yogis with a valuable experience. It’s an excellent investment in oneself. Keith V, attended three years. (Lethbride, AB. Canada)

A job well done-Rejuvenating Yoga Retreat This retreat delivered a complete yoga experience for me. For the first time, I experienced a bringing together of the the mind, body, and spiritual elements of yoga in a way that helped me to connect all of the dots necessary for my well being. Incorporating all of these into my life has resulted in an understanding, peace of mind, and well being never experienced before. I highly recommend this retreat for anyone interested in practical tools, new experiences and new ways of looking at one’s life. Joan L , attended three years.  (Lethbridge, Alberta)

Beyond Words I was delighted to attend the Yoga Retreat offered by Agneta Dyck. The retreat was held at her newly completed studio surrounded by ocean sounds and the beauty of her flower garden. The retreat had “yoga at your own pace” and was refreshing and renewing. Breakfast and lunch were nutritious and offered a variety to satisfy all pallets. Our day included sunrise meditation, daily seminar, and patio yoga. Agneta was gentle, knowledgeable and aware of the needs of the participants. I have already decided to attend again next year!! Wonderful experience!  Jennifer W, has attended four years in a row. (Grande Prairie, AB Canada)

Guayabitos Yoga Retreat I attended Agneta Dyck’s first yoga retreat. It was an exceptional program, that was very professional. Everything was first class – from Agneta’s yoga instruction on probably the most beautiful yoga patio, the delicious meals and snacks, the sunrise meditation on the roof top, and the seminar lectures/discussions on ‘ How to Live to be 100’. I loved every minute of it. I will be looking forward to attending the 2nd annual one next year. Thanks to Agneta, Ezra and Suyin!   Shawn Trotter, has attended four years in row.  (Dorothy Lake, Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba, Canada)
