Canadian retreats are held in  Vancouver, BC, on a secluded, pristine lake just an hour from downtown or the Vancouver airport.

If you have questions, you can always reach me via the CONTACT page on this site.

“I love the socializing, canoeing and the scenery.”

“I love the 90-minute yoga classes, especially partner poses.”

“The workshops reaffirm my own beliefs regarding many concepts such as positive thinking, the power of our good intentions, gratitude and forgiveness.”

“This retreat is a time to nourish my soul and reflect on where and what I want to do going forward in my life.”

Loon Lake is a stunning venue, only one hour from Vancouver center or Vancouver/Abbotsford airports (no ferries).  The lake is unspoiled (and swimmable in September), the forest is natural and quiet with two hiking trails and we have canoes available at our own dock.

For September, 2019, we have TWO yoga classes per day.  The morning 90-minute class is gentle Hatha yoga with fun Kundalini stretches and a few Pilates-type exercises for the core.  The afternoon class is restorative and restful, with a long healing meditation.  Even beginners will enjoy these classes.

There is also an interesting and informative workshop every day on the theme A Consciousness of Love.  You will learn to choose the path of love in your thoughts, words and actions, thereby improving your health and increasing your sense of peace and joy.  We will work from the book A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.

Evening activities may include campfires, sing-alongs, movies or other enjoyable social events.  While all activities have been appreciated by past recipients, I always say they are optional.  If you should decide to spend your time relaxing on the dock, feet dangling in the water, then you are free to do so.  The schedule allows four consecutive hours for activities after lunch every day, and lots of free time in the evening.

Note that our group has full possession of the private Koerner Lodge, with our own chef, kitchen and dining room.  The food is consistently delicious!!  We can also accommodate any dietary preferences.  Our lodge includes a lounge with fireplace, outdoor patios, a fire pit, and our own dock onto the lake.  Bedrooms accommodate singles, doubles or up to four people in spacious rooms, all with ensuite.  Every room has a forest or water view.

RATESEarly bird rates are in effect now, act quickly and make a small deposit of $400 to save your spot.  Early bird rate for double room is $980 per person, single is $1180.  Rate for a shared room of three to four people is only $880. For any shared room, PLEASE have your group already formed and register the same day.

All rates are in Canadian dollars.  5% GST is charged only for retreats based in Canada.  Your fee includes everything; there are no additional fees.  See SHOP page to book.

Final payment is due by September 1st, 2019.

Rates include three nights’ accommodation, three delicious meals plus a morning snack every day, yoga, workshops, meditations, hiking, canoeing and any evening activities.

Payments are refundable until 60 days before the event, minus $50.  After that you may substitute another participant, or payments may be applied 100% to any future retreat in Canada or Mexico.

Mexico Retreats in Guayabitos, Nayarit, Mexico

2019 – 2020

The Mexico retreats offer a 90-minute, healing yoga class preceded by a sunrise meditation and tea/coffee break.  A fresh, natural breakfast follows the yoga class, and then we move into our 2-hour workshop.  A full hot lunch, with a salad bar concludes the daily retreat events, freeing everyone to do other activities after 1:30.

The workshops are always a wonderful learning experience, giving you the opportunity to leave the past behind and develop productive thoughts and behaviors that lead you to better health and greater happiness.

Theme: – I Love My Life!

Living Life with Joy

Ever wonder why life isn’t as joyful as it’s supposed to be?  Do you feel weighed down by the events of the world?  We all deserve to be happy.  Discussing Buddhist and Western schools of thought, we will learn how to shift our focus, relax and really enjoy life.

I love the idea of posting little mantras daily in conspicuous places and will try to do this.

January 29th – February 1st

Theme: – Transformation:  Body, Mind and Soul

Here we will transform the body with gentle, healing yoga and transform the mind with exercises that help us to heal the past by letting go of anger, guilt, fear and sadness.  Finally, we will learn how to bring Spirit into our lives  in order to live a happy and fulfilled life.

The sharing of our thoughts and feelings through discussions during the workshops was very powerful….this is what I intend to do more of.

March 1st – 6th

Theme:  Transitions after 50, 60, 70:

Finding Clarity and Inspiration as Life Changes

Major life changes, including retirement or the anticipation of retirement, sometimes bring about confusion and lack of motivation.  And yet this can be the beginning of some of the best chapters of your life.  Here we will learn to recognize and release undermining habits, and develop values-based intentions that guide us into this wonderful, new era.

The retreat was another wonderful and important step in understanding myself and becoming a better person. My soul opened, my purpose became clearer, my body both relaxed and strengthened and my mind learned to focus. Life is wonderful and it can only get better!!

Wonderful 1st Time Experience Located in the residential area at Agneta’s new home and outdoor yoga studio, the “Guayabitos Yoga Retreat–How to Live to Be a Hundred”, proved to be an invigorating, week-long experience. Surrounded by ocean views, beautiful gardens, hummingbirds and iguanas, this setting provides a perfect backdrop for the retreat. Days beginning with sunrise meditation and yoga geared to individual participants set the tone for the remainder of the day. Discussion sessions relating to “How to Live to Be a Hundred” and the role that mind body and spirit play in being healthy and whole at any age, were thought provoking and provided me with an awareness of how I can improve my well being.  This retreat is tailored to the needs of both men and women. Overall, the retreat provided excellent value and would provide both new and experienced yogis with a valuable experience. It’s an excellent investment in oneself.–Keith, attended three years. (Lethbridge, AB. Canada)

Thanks Agneta!  – Lauri K, attended two years in a row

Wonderful!  First of all the tropical location is beautiful. The day is very nicely paced and well organized, with options for all the different levels of our yoga practice and room to stretch and improve. There is opportunity for personal time if you need or want to discuss anything specific with Agneta.  The workshops are illuminating and thought-provoking with everyone participating in an informal discussion on the topic of the day.  The food is creative, tasty, fresh and nourishing, I so look forward to the breakfasts and lunches!  – Marie D, attended Mexico retreat twice
